What To Expect
1. What can you expect from a photo session with Studio Pop?
At Studio Pop my specialty is custom portraits that let your personality pop! Basically, one photo session includes *30-60* minutes of my time and talent, at our agreed upon location. I create a fun, informal environment to set the stage for a great session, but planning is crucial to our success! *newborns, weddings and boudoir vary*
2. What should you plan for?
The first decision each client makes is the type of session they would like. Are you seeking a formal family portrait with multiple groups? A back to school photo for children? Do you prefer an indoor or outdoor setting? These determinations will be made during our initial phone, email or inperson meeting/consultation. Once the style of photo has been determined, it’s time for the fun part! Prepping the wardrobe!
3. The night before the shoot…
Make sure everyone who will be photographed gets a great night sleep! Personalities really pop when everyone is in a great mood, well rested and ready to have fun! The night before, make sure all of the wardrobe items are clean and pressed, and of course, that they still fit! Pack snacks for anyone who may need them, plenty of drinks and toys to keep the kids occupied during any unexpected downtime, and jackets or blankets if you are being photographed outside. You may wish to create a list of specific images you wish to capture (ie, daddy and son, 3 generations, funny faces etc.) and have it ready to bring with you. Also, please prepare payment in full and bring it along to the actual shoot. (I can’t always follow people back to their car if we are on location so I do request that you have it with you for the session).
4. The day of the shoot…
Please try to arrive on location at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled shoot time. This allows everyone to be in a stress free mood, so the fun can start right on time. During the shoot the focus will be on the pre determined subjects. Photo shoots are fun and I encourage spontaneity, however, if the basic arrangement changes (additional children, extra family members, multiple locations etc.) additional charges may apply.
I will provide a variety of props and backgrounds to enhance your photo session. You are also welcome to bring along any items that you wish to have included in the photos and I will do my best to incorporate them.
*At times, I may feel the need to ask the parent to step away, and allow me to interact one on one with your child/children.. Please do not get offended, I have found that I can really capture some fun images this way.
5. After the shoot…
I will conduct a first review and editing of all of the photos. Clients will receive a CD containing 15-30 fully edited images and a Print Release within 2 to 4 weeks of the photo session.
