Crystal Lake, Il Photography

Blog

I absolutely love being a Crystal Lake Illinois wedding photographer! It’s been quite some time I’ve blogged. I figured what a better time since I was able to do a session outside! OMGEEEEEEE It’s coming! SPRING! Better weather, incredible sunsets! YAY! YES! WAHOO! I have my first wedding of the year TOMORROW! Wahoo! I’m so excited! I really have a strong passion for weddings! My goal is to really start to make them more of my main focus in coming years! I don’t normally post a lot of Black and White images, however, I just love the shadows from the trees in these images! I also love the emotion in these images. I mean, look at Jackie’s contagious laugh! I am already envisioning how the day will be tomorrow! FUN, FUN, FUN!!! Can’t wait for tomorrow, Jackie and Matt!...

Newborn Photography, I just love it!  Wow! It’s already 2016! What a whirlwind 2015 was! I was so busy this fall and definitely slacked on blogging! I figured it was time to share a new session! Meet sweet little newborn Mia! She is so cute! Sweet Mia was pretty much awake our whole session, but she still gave us adorable expressions 🙂 Did you know that I love newborn sessions!? I can’t wait to meet so many more sweet newborn babies and their parents this year! Please share my work with anyone you know that is expecting a baby! I would really appreciate it! Love...

Hello! I am so excited to finally share my Christmas Mini Sessions with you!   Christmas In The Barn, Holiday Sessions! These sessions were held in early November, in Woodstock. Linda Bruce, owner of Soulful Praries, was gracious enough to grant us full access to her gorgeous property the day of our shoot. A session like this requires months of planning, shopping and collaborating. We actually had tons of our own props to help style, but still required a little help from some local vendors. I was excited to enlist the help of Apple Creek Flowers. Elizabeth and her team are cutting edge! They are amazing to work with! They beautifully styled the garland, wreaths, swag, lanterns and potted plant. I highly recommend working with them for any of your upcoming floral needs! We also decided to rent the gorgeous couch, featured inside the barn, from Erasistable Vintage Rentals and Styling. I was first told about Julie a couple years ago from a client. Julie has quite the collection at her St. Charles warehouse, I was seriously in awe when I went there one time. Her attention to detail, creative eye and personal touch make her styling Erasistable! 😉 Last, I’ve known Santa for years! At least 15. He is the uncle of my husbands best friend and business partner. He is an amazing Santa. Everyone loves him. I hope you love these photos as much as I poured my heart into them. Thanks again to everyone who was a part of this day, we were truly blessed with gorgeous weather, helpful vendors, an amazing location and AWESOME...

Holy Moly, what a beautiful family and day for this Fall Family Photo Session!  We really lucked out on a gorgeous 60+ degree day in early November. Dan, Beth and their kids met up with me in Algonquin for this super fun shoot. Who ever picked out their outfits, assuming it was Beth, did a great job!  I love how everything coordinates together and isn’t too matchy-matchy!  This sessions was one of my favorites this Fall season with well behaved kids, gorgeous weather + a beautiful Fall day, what else can I ask for!? It was a pleasure to capture these images for you...

Every wedding I photograph makes me so excited to be a Crystal Lake, Illinois Wedding Photographer!  Danielle and Brandon were married on a gorgeous day in September. Danielle came recommended to me by a past bride and groom. I was ecstatic to have them book me! We did their engagement photos this summer, see their photos-click here http://studiopopinc.com/2015/08/05/crystal-lake-engagement-photographer/!!   I was able to witness Danielle and Brandon’s  incredible personalities and love right away, making me super excited for their wedding day! Their wedding day started off with a broken down party bus, but their wedding coordinator, Tami, with http://creativelyyoursevents.com/saved the day and took care of that stressful moment! We made it to the church and the wedding went off without a hitch!  We even had Elmo chasing all of us through the park when we were taking pictures!  I was truly blessed to share this day with Danielle and Brandon along with their families! Wishing them a eternity of...

I’ve been so busy photographing and doing hair lately, that my online presence has been somewhat quiet! Let’s break that silence with The Bartell Family. I actually attend church with the Bartells, so when Jen contacted me I was super excited! We opted for Crystal Lake Main Beach on a beautiful, sunny Friday evening. This family was so much fun to photograph and I hope they enjoy their images like I enjoyed creating them...
